The rankings, compiled by U.S. News & World Report in collaboration with RT International—a North Carolina-based research and consulting firm—are based on data from 119 children’s hospitals and surveys of thousands of pediatric specialists. Hospitals awarded a “Best” designation demonstrated excellence in patient outcomes, quality of hospital resources directly related to patient care, and the expertise of their pediatric teams.
